Christopher N. O’Sullivan
Chris O’Sullivan, President of Paloma Resources, LLC, founded the company in 2004. Mr. O’Sullivan is primarily responsible for project selection and overall project execution. Mr. O’Sullivan has led the company in a series of private equity sponsored projects located in the Anadarko STACK, the TMS in eastern Louisiana, the Utica/Point Pleasant in eastern Ohio, the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas, the Haynesville Shale in East Texas, the Barnett Shale in North Texas, the Lobo/Expanded Wilcox in South Texas, and the Miocene in the Gulf of Mexico’s Matagorda Island Area.
Mr. O’Sullivan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas in 1983.
Mark J. Gabrisch
Mark Gabrisch, Executive Vice President, Land, of Paloma Resources, LLC, joined the company in 2006 as VP, Land. Mr. Gabrisch is primarily responsible for managing every aspect of the company’s land and legal activities, including direct involvement in all contract negotiations and trade agreements. Further, Mr. Gabrisch managed asset and entity sales for all Paloma entities since 2008.
Mr. Gabrisch received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Land Management from The University of Houston in 1985.
Scott W. Smith
Scott W. Smith, Executive Vice President, Business Development, of Paloma Resources, LLC, joined the company in May of 2020. Mr. Smith has over 40 years of energy experience with a focus on the acquisition of oil and gas assets and/or companies. Mr. Smith was the founder and CEO of Vanguard Natural Resources, a publicly traded MLP from 2006-2018.
Mr. Smith received a BBA/Petroleum Land Management from the University of Texas in 1980.
John O. Hastings, Jr.
John Hastings, Executive Vice President, Exploration, of Paloma Resources, LLC, has over 31 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to Paloma Resources, Mr. Hastings worked for Edge Petroleum and Shell Oil Company.
Since joining Paloma Resources in 2005, Mr. Hastings has led the company’s geologic efforts in various projects across the United States. In these projects, Mr. Hastings managed prospect development, interpreted extensive 2-D and 3-D data sets, provided leasing consultation and guidance, facilitated well location selection, and managed subsurface operations and horizontal/deviated well geo-steering.
Mr. Hastings received a Master of Science degree in Geology from Texas A&M University in 1984, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College in 1982.
R. E. (Bobby) Poirrier, Jr.
Bobby Poirrier joined Paloma Resources, LLC in late 2012 as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Mr. Poirrier has nearly 30 years of energy industry experience, most recently in the capacity of Vice President of Corporate Development and Planning and Treasurer for Energy XXI.
Mr. Poirrier received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines in 1992 and a Master of Science degree in Finance from The University of Houston in 2002.
Doug Genrich, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Paloma Resources, has over 30 years of operational experience across multiple geographic regions in North America, as well in various areas in the Middle East and North Africa. Prior to joining Paloma, Mr. Genrich held the position of COO for Opal Resources. Previous management positions include Senior VP of Drilling and Completions for Sabine Oil & Gas, Completions and Drilling Manager for El Paso E&P, and various engineering management roles at Anadarko Petroleum and Union Pacific Resources.
Mr. Genrich received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas in 1987.
Andrew N. Keck
Andrew Keck, Vice President, Land, of Paloma Resources, LLC, joined the company in 2015. Mr. Keck has more than 14 years of experience in the energy industry, including roles with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and Hess Corporation. Mr. Keck oversees the day-to-day operations of the land department as well as all A&D activity.
Mr. Keck received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2003 and a Juris Doctorate degree from The University of Tulsa College of Law in 2007.
Robert D. Newton
Robert Newton, Vice President, Reservoir Engineering, joined Paloma Resources, LLC, in 2019. Mr. Newton has more than 14 years of experience in the energy industry, including roles with LINN Energy, Bill Barrett Corporation, and American Energy Permian Basin. Mr. Newton leads the company’s reservoir characterization, corporate reserves, and A&D valuation efforts.
Mr. Newton received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Missouri – Rolla in 2007 and is currently enrolled at the University of Houston Bauer Business School in the Master of Science in Finance program, with May 2022 graduation.
