Christopher N. O’Sullivan
Chris O’Sullivan is President of Paloma Resources, LLC, a company he founded in 2004. Since Paloma’s inception, Mr. O’Sullivan has been primarily responsible for conceiving the various business initiatives that Paloma has pursued as well as developing the strategies implemented to achieve corporate objectives. Mr. O’Sullivan has led the company in a series of private equity sponsored projects located in the TMS in eastern Louisiana, the Point Pleasant in eastern Ohio, the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas, the Haynesville Shale in East Texas, the Barnett Shale in North Texas, the Lobo/Expanded Wilcox in South Texas, and the Miocene in the Gulf Of Mexico’s Matagorda Island Area.
Mr. O’Sullivan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas in 1983.
Mark J. Gabrisch
Mark Gabrisch joined Paloma Resources, LLC in 2006. As the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Gabrisch has been primarily responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s land related activities. This has resulted in the acquisition of over 17,000 net acres in the Eagle Ford Shale, over 10,000 net acres comprising in excess of 25,000 leases in the Barnett Shale, and over 16,000 net acres in the Lobo/Expanded Wilcox trends. Despite encountering highly competitive leasing environments in the shale plays, Mr. Gabrisch has been able to lead the Land Department through numerous intricate acreage trades and complex lease negotiations that resulted in efficiently designed drilling units that ultimately contained over 300 horizontal drilling locations. Mr. Gabrisch also managed the company’s drilling schedule and all associated surface activity that encompassed the drilling of 25 wells in the Eagle Ford Shale.
Mr. Gabrisch received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Land Management from The University of Houston in 1985.
John O. Hastings, Jr.
John Hastings is Executive Vice President, Exploration and has over 29 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Since joining Paloma Resources, LLC in 2005, Mr. Hastings has been responsible for devising and managing the company’s exploration efforts that were conducted in the Eagle Ford Shale, the Haynesville Shale, the Barnett Shale, the Lobo/Expanded Wilcox, the Onshore Tertiary, and the Gulf of Mexico Shelf trends.
These projects have involved extensive 2-D and 3-D interpretation, prospect definition and development, leasing consultation and guidance, horizontal/deviated well geo-steering, and operations management. Mr. Hastings directed the location selection and drilling of 25 wells in the Eagle Ford Shale that resulted in an exit production rate of over 10,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. While engaged in the Barnett Shale and Lobo projects, Mr. Hastings was responsible for drilling 21 wells that resulted in an exit production rate of 33 mmcfgpd. The discoveries made under Mr. Hastings’ management of these project areas resulted in over 400 PUD locations.
Mr. Hastings received a Master of Science degree in Geology from Texas A&M University in 1984, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College in 1982.
R. E. (Bobby) Poirrier, Jr.
Bobby Poirrier joined Paloma Resources, LLC in late 2012 as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Mr. Poirrier has 19 years of energy industry experience, most recently in the capacity of Vice President of Corporate Development and Planning and Treasurer for Energy XXI.
Mr. Poirrier received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines in 1992 and a Master of Science degree in Finance from The University of Houston in 2002.
